Twinning Association

Dunsford and Doddiscombsleigh are twinned with Boulon and Fresney-le-Puceux, 2 small villages 20 kilometers south of Caen in the Calvados region of Normandy, France.
All residents of both Dunsford and Doddiscombsleigh are welcome to take part in any Twinning event if they want to.There is no membership fee - most of our funding comes from fund-raising events which we try to make as fun as possible. Donations are also accepted.
Everyone in both villages is encouraged to be involved- you don’t have to be able to speak French. It is a great way to travel relatively cheaply abroad and get to experience a subtly different culture. It also allows you bring home some duty free and cheap wine!
The Twinning was given its formal charter in 1999 and since then there have been regular exchange visits.
Many strong family ties have been built, but the association is dynamic and new people are continually getting involved. You can experience a bit of France and you and any children can practise your French. For more details of the association see below or contact any of the committee.
