DADS

Over the years DADS has also staged a number of musical events and stage plays.  The 2006 production of the J.B. Priestly play ”An Inspector Calls” was followed a year later by the highly acclaimed musical production “Travel Notes”.  In 2009 the company performed the stage classic “An Inspector Calls” and in June 2010, the hilarious stage version of “’Allo ‘Allo”.

Profits from its productions have provided funding to a number of local organisations and it has also contributed to charities.

Following the 2011 production of “Dick Whittington”, DADS will be staging a new version of “Sleeping Beauty” from 7th to 14th January 2012. There will be Saturday matinees at 2.30pm and nightly shows (except Sunday) at 7.45pm. The box office (252161) opens on December 1st 2011

The production of a pantomime can involve upwards of 100 people.  In addition to those visible on stage and the back stage and front of house teams, there are costumes to be made, scenery to be painted, scripts to be written, scenery furniture and props to be made, and sound and lighting to be set up and run.  DADS is always ready to welcome new members willing to become involved in one or more of these many activities and to take part in what is always a most enjoyable experience.

News on current and future productions is carried regularly in the Parish Magazine.  For further information contact either:
